CEO of CO2 GRO explains how their patented C02 Foliar Spray technology accelerates plant growth (Video)
CO2 GRO Inc. (TSX.V: GROW) is dedicated to increasing the growth of all indoor and outdoor value plants using our advanced CO2 technologies. They increase our clients’ plant yields in a safe, sustainable and economic way. The company owns a worldwide license to saturate water with CO2 gas and a CO2 foliar spray global PCT patent to apply CO2 saturated water onto plants for accelerated plant growth. CO2’s technologies are developed, proven and scalable. They continue to perform CO2 foliar spray grow trials for cannabis, lettuce, micro greens, flowers and peppers in various growing conditions.
Jim Gordon: Hi, I’m Jim Gordon, and you’re watching Market One Minute. Joining us is John Archibald. He is the CEO of CO2 GRO. John, I’d like to start off by asking you this first question about your patent protected CO2 foliar spray technology. What does it do for plants?
John Archibald: The CO2 foliar spray technology quite simply grows the plants bigger, faster. And it does that by bringing CO2 very effectively to the plant. We simply put CO2 into the water and foliar spray both surfaces of the leaves. That dramatically increases the CO2 conductance and the leaf, and then transfers more carbon to the roots and shoots of the plant and increases the chlorophyll in the plant leaves by up to 4X. All of that combines, as I said, to bigger, faster, better plants.
Jim Gordon: And John, what plant markets and geographies are you targeting?
John Archibald: The plant markets we’re targeting are all value plants. And what we’re looking at is some of the lettuces and microgreens, so those value plants and peppers, so on that side. And then we’re looking at hemp and because we can bring to the outdoors what we do indoors in increasing the plant size. And we’re also looking at cannabis, so they’re all value plants. We’re not looking at things like soy beans and corn. We just do not have a play there. But we do have a play both indoors and outdoors with high value plants.
Jim Gordon: And, are you approved in Canada for use by planting growers?
John Archibald: We are approved in Canada by plant growers, and that’s done through the Canada Food Inspection Agency who has allowed the technology to be utilized by any growers. And that then translates into the same thing in the United States with CFIA approval that basically lets us have any plant grower in the states use it as an approved technology as well.
Jim Gordon: John, are there any other regulatory constraints for your technology for use in other countries?
John Archibald: We have no regulatory constraints for using the technology. The technology simply brings carbon to the plants, which has long been an established process. We just bring it to the plants in a more effective fashion for better growth and health of the plant.
Jim Gordon: John, finally, how do you see CO2 GRO evolving over the next few years?
John Archibald: CO2 GRO is growing, and we’re growing rapidly. We are having major uptake by our client base and that is exciting us. We have an Agora industrial partner work starting to work with us, and that is bringing new opportunities. It is definitely a marketplace that is accepting the technology because it recognizes what it does for the marketplace and we are a direct beneficiary of our technology.
Jim Gordon: John, thanks for joining us today.
John Archibald: Thank you.
